Unexpected Adjacencies: Planetary Agility in Complexity Science, Doughnut Economics, Real Organics and Zen

April 21st @2:00 - 2:25pm

During the height of COVID isolation, Colleen read Paul Hawken’s book Regeneration, a collection of inspiring stories about people who are helping regenerate our beautiful earthly home. Since then, she has continued to discover unexpected learning adjacencies with many communities (just like ours) that are all focused on how to thrive in a complex, adaptive world. Walk away from this session with greater curiosity and understanding as we learn from new friends: Regenerative Economists, Complexity Scientists, Buddhist Monks & Organic Farmers. Put your mind at ease and open your heart to becoming an energized drop of consciousness in a sea of collective intelligence!

About the speaker

Colleen Kirtland is passionate about studying Complex and Living Systems. Her greatest enjoyment is constructive activism in the Food System  (RealOrganicProject.org) and Music Education working with under-resourced youth (Kidsingers.org).  As technological automation displaces traditional human work, there is a great need to evaluate and leverage technology to improve the human condition. As an evangelist of creating resilient systems and teams, Colleen has served both as a leader and individual contributor in multiple companies and industries. She is currently between jobs and looking forward to her next adventure!
